The Color of Her Eyes

Her name was Lulu Harbring. She was a young, smart, and deviant lady. She brought new and interesting innovations to her country, yet only she could decipher her instructions to her quaint inventions. Some loved her.
Others....
not so much.
Some dwelled on the thought of the death, or the downfall of her.
And one took it a step further.
One day, Lulu was in a factory full of chemicals, experiments that could change the shape and form of a living creature.
And one man, a man named Gustavo Otiv, was the governor of Fortion. He despised Lulu, and was in that building on that terrible day.
Now, Lulu knew of the grudges that haunted her every day, but she did not expect this such of a destruction of her own life.
The governor took hold,
and fired.
Chemicals spilled all over, gushing, churning, changing everyone into different beings when suddenly a nearby pile of TNT caught fire and exploded.
He knew it would cost lives to destroy one, but what he didn't know was that Lulu saved herself from the blast by jumping into a barrel.
When she came to, she found herself in immense pain, and felt rather small.
She was small.
Small as a dog.
"A dog," she realized.
"Oh no," she gasped, "what have they DONE?" She gaped at the mass destruction of the facility. But sadly, she knew. She was turned into a dachshund, and the government was always against her.
She knew what she had to do.
